Summary


"We're doing it a little different than UPMC did," said Lisa Freeman, Tri-Boro's community mobilizer. "We are much more aggressive in producing some positive outcomes for these kids. Where it was a little casual before, we have kind of suggested and almost demanded that this group is not a meet, eat and greet. We're really about doing business."

"When we administer the survey, it will automatically flag all those risk factors and then we that are sitting at the table, we look at those factors and say, 'These three issues, we're going to work on this.'"

"The kids are the next generation. Some kids, some parents, you might not be able to save. But if we save one, isn't that one that could possibly do something so extraordinary that we've given a chance? That's what we're trying to do with 2000 of them, not just one."
