"The CPRB is not just to support every claim from the community, but to find justice in these cases and what is the truth," said [Tim Stevens]. "Sometimes truth is on the police's side, sometimes it's on the citizen's side."

"To a large degree, if city administrators, police and community activists at large, if both sides are a little ticked off at us, we're doing our job," said Pittinger. "There's no bias-our job is to stay in the middle."
