"We also have a poem and a song," said [Clarice Johnson] as she positioned kinfolk for the photo accompanying this story. In fact, the kinfolk sang along with the family song, "Let's Talk About Love" (co-written by Johnson and her husband, Shane Plummer with from Carrie McCray, another kinfolk).

"'Let's Talk About Love' is the family mantra, which describes our family mission. It was the winner of the family song contest held among the other chapters of the Kinfolk Family Heritage Clubs," shared Johnson. Other chapters are located in Richmond, IN, Baltimore, Washington, DC and Sumter County, NC, where the Lesane/Lesesne family has its roots.

"The Family Reunion Institute commends the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania for making this commitment to the Institute and the families we represent," said Dr. Ione Vargus, founder of the Family Reunion Institute and former Temple University Dean, School of Social Administration. "We are thrilled to bring the conference back to Pennsylvania after a short time outside the state." The previous conference was held in Atlanta.
