Summary

In a candid interview, [Dave Hollister] takes us on a journey through the many hardships of his life. He even talks about how his brush with death saved him. Hollister first started singing in the church and from church he became a background singer for Vanessa Bell Armstrong, Patti LaBelle and Mary J. Blige. While on tour with Mary J. Blige, Teddy Riley from the group Guy asked Dave Hollister if he wanted to be a part of his new group Blackstreet. He joined the group and after the first album, "Blackstreet" in 1994, he left.

He produced "Ghetto Hymns" in 1999, "Chicago 85 The Movie" in 2000, "Things in the Game Done Change" in 2002 and "Real Talk" in 2003, which all became a big hit, but he says that something was still missing in his life.
