Her accomplishments in the radio and music recording industries have been recognized with numerous awards from Billboard Magazine, Gavin Magazine, Radio & Records, and the National Black Programmer's Coalition to name a few. [Helen Little] has also received many community-based honors. She is a mentor to young people and travels throughout the country delivering presentations at educational outlets and industry events on a variety of topics. Helen serves on the board of directors as corporate communications director for the National Association of Black Female Executives in Music & Entertainment and is a member of the National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences where she served on the Philadelphia Chapter Board of Governors. Helen's last word of advice for those who want to launch a music-based business is, "The sky is the limit," she says, "It's your time to soar because the only thing that can stop you is you!"
On the path to entrepreneurship, Helen climbed the ranks from a part-time radio announcer to becoming one of the entertainment industry's most highly respected executives. She has worked in the radio industry for over a decade as a radio host, music director, and assistant program director at stations throughout country including WBLS-FM in New York, KJMZ-FM in Dallas, and WUSL-FM in Philadelphia. It was at Clear Channel (formerly AMFM)'s WUSL-FM where Helen quickly rose to become one of the first African-American women to ever become operations manager at an urban contemporary radio station.See the full content of this document
