They talked about the being a part of the PIRATEFEST and the fun they had visiting 21 cities, (including Pittsburgh) during the Bucs' winter "Caravan." [Ian Snell] showed [Nyjer Morgan] one of his latest toys. They talked about extreme sporfs, boxing and just regular "stuff" that young men in the prime of their lives talk about but the most important thing that they all agreed on was winning and winning now! I made a reference to the fact that the Bucs were very close to turning the corner in 2007 and Morgan agreed that there were "just a few missing pieces" that kept the Pirates from achieving a fair amount of success last year and turning 2007 into a respectable season.

There are players like non-roster invitee outfielder [Andrew McCutcheon] chomping at the bit who should be given an opportunity to showcase his talents and travel north to the Steel City after the Pirates depart from Bradenton. The only factor that should stop McCutcheon from being on the "A" train is if he has a less than desirable stint during spring training. However, with his talent, unless he is injured, expect McCutcheon to shine.

Well, there you have the skinny, boys and girls. Methinks that "Pittsburghers" without the lettuce and tomatoes may enjoy baseball a bit more than the "brewskis" in 2008 at PNC Park. Oh, and I also enjoy the goodies Hot dogs here, get your hot dogs.
