Summary

"This was a time when those musicians were finding their own voice," [Dianne Reeves] said. "Finding that voice is the thing I have the most in common with; for me, that period was the greatest inspiration."

She since released 18 albums, the most recent of which is the soundtrack for the George Clooney film, "Good Night and Good Luck." She won a Grammy for this album and has won the award for three previous ones all of which were won in consecutive years for consecutive albums-"In the Moment," 2001; "The Calling," 2002; and "In the Moonlight," 2003.

Her current project, "When You Know," scheduled for release on Blue Note for April 15, showcases her own interpretation of "new" standards from the Temptations to Minnie Ripperton. A painting she saw of a woman moving through her stages of life hanging in Vienna's Belvedere Gallery inspired this project.
