Ib raise money, on Dec. 3 The Washington Initiatives held its "First Annual Giving Back to the Community" event, which drew over 200 patrons. In addition to [Arthur E. Doctor Jr.], Connie Thomas, event chair, Greg Spencer, a Pittsburgh businessman who grew up in Washington also pitched in. Spencer pulled some strings and secured Franco Harris as the honorary chair, Highmark as an underwriter, and Eric Brace offered his club, Southpointe, to host the event.
