Summary


When will you be able to let your hair down and begin to focus on YOU? Studies suggest that by age 35, many of us began to take a keen analytical look at our position in life. We begin to wonder why we are not where we thought we would be by this time? By age 35, life lessons have taught us the highs and lows of job security, financial security, and relationship security. At 35 most of us have matured and are ready to embrace practical solutions to our problems. This is why most regular church members are 35 and over. Age 35-40 is a time that most of us get serious about getting our financial house in order. This is a time in life when the average person has the mental and financial maturity to delay gratification, cut frivolous spending, reduce debt and save aggressively for our future. By age 40 we're generally earning decent money and the idea of retirement is within our sight. By this time, student loans are usually paid in full. You no longer have a desire to hop from club to club partying (spending) like you just don't care. You have matured and are less prone to falling victim to the "I just gotta have it now" impulse mentality. Your childcare expenses have generally reduced dramatically or are non-existent. This sounds like a perfect time if not sooner to get your financial house in order.
