I found it curious that Mr. [Ron Artest] would refrain from retaliating against Piston's center Ben Wallace, who initiated the clash by shoving Artest in the throat. Maybe it had something to do with Wallace's 6-10, muscular frame. But being hit by a beverage after Wallace's attack was somehow more than Artest could bear, prompting him to charge the stands.

This may not have been Mr. Artest's signature moment. A few weeks prior, he requested time off from the grueling NBA schedule and his annual $6 million salary to promote a CD by a group that appears on his record label, TruWarier.

Perhaps we are more like Ron Artest than we care to admit. Like Artest, we find it easier go into the stands than to face the real challenge on the court.
