Summary


[Dan Mason] (6 feet, 220-pounds) is a standout linebacker on defense, and a wrecker of a blocking fullback on offense. Mason, who led the Indians in tackles each of the last two seasons, was on the short list of premiere linebackers in the WPIAL, a list which included Gateway's Bell and Canon McMillan's junior linebacker Mike Hull.

"I'm being recruited both as a defensive end and as a tight end," said Clarke. "I'm going to take my time and make sure that I make the right decision. I love playing both positions but I'm leaning towards playing defense in college."

"[Brian Williams] has always been a tough player who hasn't let his size define the type of player he is," Gateway head coach Terry Smith said. "He will succeed at the Naval Academy, not only in football, but in academics and his preparation for military service."
