The U.S. has over 130,000 troops in Iraq, but they have not been able to prevent militants from attacking cities, blowing up police stations, seizing government buildings, ambushing U.S. forces and killing American soldiers. The guerilla groups are engaged in a jihad against the U.S. and say they are fighting for Allah.

The world does not trust the U.S. because so many believe--as do the majority of U.S. citizens --that the Iraq war was unnecessary and fought on a premise of lies about weapons of mass destruction and bringing democracy to Iraq, when the true reason was to gain control of Iraq's oil.The U.S. is fighting the war in Iraq with a volunteer army, men and women who are either career soldiers or serve in the reserves. If it is proven that they can no longer handle the worsening situation in Iraq--and other hot spots around the world--it is feasible to expect that some sort of draft will have to be instituted.See the full content of this document
