Ransom Notes; Bush's Social Security 'Fix' Doesn't Add Up

Summary


Yeah, I know, those folks who make that kind of money probably aren't using Social Security as much, and it is unfair to expect them to further fund a program they aren't using. Yeah, well, so what? We do it all the time. It is a time-honored American tradition to force those with resources to subsidize those without.

I'm not counting on Social Security. If I want my kids to support me, I don't want the money laundered through the federal labyrinth. I'll just shower them with guilt like millions of parents in the past. If they are going to have to work to support me, and work harder, it seems, because I'm pretty expensive, I'd rather there be no government middle man and no stock market speculation.
