"All my speaking engagements have been by invitation," she said. "I've had the opportunity to preach in Switzerland, in various countries in Africa, Canada, Haiti and Jamaica, as well as throughout the United States."

"However, it is a spiritual journey with God, called by the spirit of God. It is the only way to do ministry. You can't just pick it up and make a career out of the ministry," she said. "Coming to Christ with an obedient attitude toward his word, then it's important to really nurture your faith under the mentor, a good pastor.

"Seek first the kingdom," Matthew 6:33, "this is one of the first scriptures that really reaches my heart," she said. "If we seek God's kingdom first, all other things that we need will be given to us," is one of [Lorraine Williams]' favorite scriptures. Another scripture she likes is Psalms 91:1-2: "He that dwells in the secret place of the most high shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust."
