"It was one of those trips that put everything into perspective and how you should be grateful for where you live," he said.

"First, I wanted to get here (Liberty University), because it costs a lot of money," said [Thomas Lee Kilcrease]. "I had to make a certain grade point average in order to get here to get a scholarship. And that's what I did."

"I want to get my doctorate in biblical studies so I can come to local universities to teach and also come back to Pittsburgh to help out the Homewood area," he said. "I want to get them out of the streets and get them into church.
