"Steal Away" will be [Stephanie Akers]' second production with [Kuntu]. She played the role of Hannah in the company's production of "Mahalia Jackson: On Holy Ground" last month.
"Playing Hannah and Jade are as different as night and day," says the Garfield resident. "My strength is singing and in Mahalia I didn't have a large speaking part. I really enjoyed playing the role and I wanted to do that again.""It's a good project. It has important things in it about women, community and healing," says [Linda Hunt] who got her start in acting in the early '90s with the help of Kuntu. "When I read the script I really connected with it because I have a stepsister and cousins and we're more like sisters.
