"I think we've seen more interest compared to Super Bowl 40 but they're putting the hype on the Steelers winning the six and that's driving the sales," [Tim Piett] said. "This is a big boost to our business."

"There's a buzz about Pittsburgh," said Craig Davis, vice president of sales and marketing for VisitPittsburgh. "It's hard to put a quantified number on it but anytime anything like this happens on the national stage it helps us greatly."

"For us to go out and sell Pittsburgh as a tourist destination (the Super Bowl) can really help," Davis said. "You'd have to be on another planet right now to not know what Pittsburgh is and where we are."
