The Way I See It; Life's True Reward

Summary


At an event over the weekend I sat next to a young father. He was feeling a bit overwhelmed with his newborn and was amazed to discover that my wife and I were endeavoring to raise three. (Of course, I didn't tell him that we are constantly tired and that our house is in a constant state of disarray.) He then posed a question. He described the deep love he feels for his new baby and wondered how it was possible to ever love another child as much as he loved his daughter. I smiled and answered that the human capacity to love constantly surprises. Our hearts have endless reserves and where our children are concerned we possess ever deepening reservoirs of patience, compassion and appreciation. And what we don't have the Lord will provide.
