Summary
Anchored by City League Player of the Year Shawnice "Pepper" Wilson, who recently signed to play with Pitt next season, the Bulldogs captured the league title and finished with an impressive 21-3 overall record before losing in the first round of the PIAA playoffs. More of the same was expected from them this season with their top two players Wilson and sparkplug Assata Ogbonna returning as seniors. Some even felt this team could win state. But for reasons unknown, Ogbonna did not return to the team, which has created a big hole in the starting lineup and a search for another outside player to compliment the 6-6 "Pepper" inside.
